Dosemealti Rugs from Southern of Turkey. This nomad rug is made by nomad tribes in Taurus Mountains near Antalya. These rugs are made by Yoruk's semi-nomadic tribes who leave near the ocean on the warm plains during the winter months. Traditionally, Dosemealti designs resemble the Luri nomad designs, and they come in two different compositional schemes. The first common design scheme contains a main row of three cruciform motifs. These motifs take up a majority of the rug, and the surrounding border features repeating geometric designs.
